The Chipsticktm

Necessity is, as the saying goes, the mother of invention. Unable to use the traditional chip-pulling tool on crowded boards, he created The Chipsticktm to quickly and safely unsocket any DIP chip (from 8 Pin EEProms to 64 Pin CPU's) without mangling any pins.


The Chipsticktm is effective, affordable and strong enough to last a life time.





The Chipsticktm removes a chip in three simple steps:
STEP #1

Place The Chipstick's flange between the IC and its socket.
The Chipsticktm is made of tempered stainless steel. Its thin metal blade is rigid yet slender enough to fit between even the most stubbornly socketed chips.
STEP #2

Rock the tool gently to the left



and then to the right to lift the chip straight up from its socket.
STEP #3

Repeat steps 1 & 2 at the other end of the IC. Longer chips may require using the tool on the first end of the IC a second time.

In any case, your chip is unsocketed without placing any stress on the pins. No other chip puller can make this claim
